So I just thought I’d put this here cause, to me, it’s important and will make life easier for a special person in my life.
My ex-girlfriend was diagnosed with Celiac Disease a few years back, and it’s been a burden to her ever since. For those who don’t know what it is, Celiac disease is where (basically), you’re unable to consume gluten based foods, or anything with gluten in it (Or at least you shouldn’t, unless you wanna endure a shit-ton of pain). What most people don’t know is that gluten is found in MANY common foods: Noodles, Bread, Pretzels, Chips, Beer, etc, etc…Anyway, I’ve seen her struggle with it through our together and not-together years, and I think that it’s great what she’s doing right now about it.
They’ve recently been able to train dogs able to detect gluten in foods; Kinda like a drug-sniffing dog, but the drug in this case being: Gluten, Wheat, Barley…wheaty stuff. This dog is like a service dog for her…and it’d be rad, because I happen to know that she loves animals; So in addition to her being less-fearful of what she can/can’t eat, she also has a new companion! …I wish I had a dog :(
She’s currently trying to raise money ($14,000) to be able to afford one of these dogs to make things easier for herself so she can finally stop being fearful of what she can and can’t eat.

Thanks a ton for listening.
